Rainbow Butter Cake
1-2/3 cups butter
2-3/4 cups sugar
5 to 6 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp almond extract
6-1/4 cups cake flour
6-1/4 tsp baking powder
1-1/4 cup milk at room temperature
Cream butter, add sugar, eggs one at a time
Beat until fluffy
Add flour alternately with milk
Beat until smooth
Add extracts
Separate batter into 3 equal portions
To 1 part add green coloring
To 2nd part add red coloring
To 3rd part add yellow coloring or leave plain
Pour red in first, then green, then yellow
Bake in large angel food pan for 1 hour and 4 minutes
At 350F
Last 15 minutes raise the heat to 400
