100 Year Old Sugar Cookies




1 cup sugar

1/2 cup shortening or margarine

1 egg, beaten

4 tablespoons milk

1 teaspoon vanilla

2 1/2 cups flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

3 teaspoons baking powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda



Cream sugar and shortening add egg, milk and vanilla

Stir in dry ingredients, mix well

Chill dough for 30 minutes

Bake at 325 for 10 to 12 minutes.
