| Grape Meringue Pie Meringue 2 egg whites2 tbsp powdered sugar1/4 tsp vanilla Filling 4 cups blue grapes, making 3 cups skins and 1 cup pulp2 egg yolks1 cup sugar2 tbsp flourDash of ground cloves if desired Separate grape skins from pulpPlace pulp in to of double boiler and steam 20 minutesThen press through coarse sieveSeparate eggsAdd unbeaten yolks with sifted dry ingredients to pulp and skins and mix wellLine pie plate with crust and turn in grape mixtureBake at 400F for 10 minutesThen reduce heat 350F and finish bakingCover with meringue and brown. | |
