Apple Dumplings

Pastry for double pie crust

Peel and core apple, dip in lemon juice
Place on cut pastry stuff with brown sugar and butter, seal apples in pastry and place in baking dish

2 cups water
3/4 cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoons butter
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
Boil 1 minute pour over apples
Bake 1 hour at 325 degrees
