| Old Fashioned Cole Slaw
- 2/3 cup vinegar
- 1/2 cup whipping cream
- 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
- 1/2 cup sugar
- Pinch of salt
- 1 1/2 tablespoons butter or margarine, cut into pieces
- 1 (2-pound) head cabbage, shredded
Combine first 5 ingredients in a small, heavy saucepan; cook over low heat, stirring constantly with a wire whisk, 8 to 10 minutes or until thickened (mixture will appear curdled until it thickens). Remove from heat. Add butter, stirring until it melts. Pour over cabbage; toss gently to coat. Cover and chill. Yield: 8 to 10 servings.Love & Hugs, AngelBear7042 | |
