| Frozen Sherbet Fruit Cups 1 (6oz) pkg or 2 (3oz) pkgs raspberry flavor gelatin2 cups hot water1 pint raspberry flavored milk sherbet1 (3oz) pkg lime flavor gelatin1 cup hot water1 cup cold fruit juice1 (13-1/2 oz) can pineapple tidbits, drainedGreens Dissolve raspberry gelatin in hot waterAdd sherbet, stir until melted (May be necessary to heat slightly)Pour into 2 quart mold, freezeThe day you serve the salad, dissolve lime gelatin in hot water add juice and tidbitsPour over frozen layer, refrigerate (Will set in about 30 minutes)Unmold on greens Makes 8 to 12 servings You can freeze the sherbet mixture in paper liners in muffin-pan cupsWhen frozen, empty into plastic bags and store in freezerServe as dessert with a fluff of whipped cream Variations Lime Lemon-OrangeCombine lime gelatin and lemon sherbetUse orange gelatin for second layer, adding 1 cup fresh or 1 can mandarin orange sections, drained Lime-LimeCombine lime gelatin and lime sherbet use lime gelatin for second layer, adding 1 cup fresh or canned grapefruit sections, drained | |
