Bowling Pin Penguins


Bowling Pin Penguins Supplies:

  • Wood sealer
  • Acrylic paint - black & white
  • Felt squares - orange, red or green
  • Green cello pom-pom
  • 4" wooden bowling pin - option: paper mache
  • Christmas minis - i.e. candy canes, gift packages, string of lights, etc.
  • Scribbles paint - red glitter
  • Sealer for wood or paper mache

Instructions:
Sand and seal wooden bowling pin. When dry, base paint black. Dry. Using white paint apply several coats on front in shape to look like a penguin. Dry and then spray with sealer. Cut beak shape from pattern out of orange felt and glue onto face area. Paint black dots for eyes. Cut scarf strip out of felt approx. 8 1/2"x 3/4". Cut off any excess. Cut 3/4" slits in each end for fringe. Tie scarf around neck. If not using scarf, bow tie may be used. Cut from patterns out of green or red felt. Decorate as desired. Round hats are made by cutting felt circles about 2" or 2 1/4". Pom-poms are added at center top for beret look. Painted hat is cut from pattern. Glue into cone shape and bend down top half. Add pom pom to tip. Decorate with Christmas minis. Scarfs can be decorated with scribbles paint.
