Exotic Fruits-Guava & Passion Fruit



Guava

Is a small oblong or round fruit

The color vaires from green to yellow with a white, yellow or pinkish flesh

The pulp is aromatic and sweet with a mass of seeds embedded in it

Guavas can be eaten fresh when ripe but are even better when preserved as jams, jellies or chutneys

The fruit is rich in Vitamin C



Passion Fruit

Native to South America, passion fruit has a leathery skin, dark purple in color when ripe

The juicy pulp is yellow with an abundance of small black seeds

The fruit may be eaten raw

Its juice is extracted and used in a variety of desserts or fruit salads

The fruit is perishable and must be refrigerated
