Cucumbers in Sour Cream

2 large cucumbers
1 tbsp salt
1 cup thick sour cream
2 tbsp vinegar
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp chopped chives or dill
Wash cucumbers, scrape or peel, slice very thin
Place in glass or china bowl, sprinkle with salt
Let stand 1 hour or a little longer
Squeeze liquid out of cucumbers
Mix and serve
Serves 4
