Eggless Spice Cake
2 cups pastry flour
1 cup sugar
3 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon allspice
1 teaspoon mace
1 teaspoon cloves
1/2 cup liquid fat
1-1/4 cups water
1 teaspoon vanilla
Sift together all dry ingredients
Add liquid fat with water and vanilla and stir until well mixed
Bake in layers in a moderately hot oven (350F)
20 minutes
In a loaf in a moderate oven 45 minutes.
