Polar Express Train Cake




4 pkg (10.75oz each) frozen pound cake, thawed

4 cups thawed Cool Whip topping, divided blue food coloring



Line up cakes on a serving platter for train cars

Cut a 2 inch crosswise slice off front cake; place at back end of the first cake to resemble train engine

Repeat with last cake, placing the removed cake slice on the middle of the cake to resemble caboose



Divide whipped topping among 4 small bowls, tint with food coloring as desired

Frost cakes and decorate as desired

Store leftover cake in refrigerator

Makes 24 servings



Decorations

16 Oreo chocolate sandwich cookies - for the Train Wheels

16 Life Saver Roll Candies - for the Train Wheels

1/4 cup Jet puffed miniature marshmallows - to stack up for the coal car

6 Barnum’s Animals Crackers - for the animal car

1 Comet Cup (Ice Cream Cone) - for the Train Engine

1 Jet Puffed marshmallow - for top of the Train Engine Cone

1/2 cup posted cocoa pebbles cereal - for the coal car

24 pieces black licorice - for the Train Track
