Plain Pound Cake
1 lb butter
1 lb sugar
1 lb flour
10 eggs
1 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
Cream the butter and the sugar thoroughly together
Add the well-beaten eggs
Sift the dry ingredients together and add with the milk
Pour into buttered bread pan and bake in a slow oven (320) for an hour and a quarter
