Prune Cake

My mothers
1 cup sugar
½ cup butter
2 eggs beat well then add
1 cup buttermilk with 1 tsp soda
1 cup cooked pitted prunes (cut up)
¼ tsp cloves
¼ tsp cinnamon
½ cup nut meats (chopped)
1 tsp baking powder
2 cups cake flour
Bake in 2 layers
350 degree oven for 25 to 30 min
Let cool and put following between layers

Sour Cream Filling
1 cup sour cream
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
Cook like lemon pie filling then add
½ to ¾ cup ground raisins
½ to ¾ cup chopped nut meats
Couple drops of Vanilla
