Southern Cream Cookies

1 cup shortening

2 cups sugar

3 eggs, beaten

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 cup sour cream

5 cups sifted all-purpose flour

3 teaspoons baking powder

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1 cup mint chocolate chips

Cream together shortening and sugar.

Add eggs, vanilla and sour cream, mix well

Sift together flour, baking powder, salt and baking soda

Add to creamed mixture

Stir in chocolate chips

Drop by teaspoons onto greased cookie sheet

Grease bottom of small glass, dip into mixture of 3 tablespoons sugar and 1 teaspoon cinnamon

Press cookie flat

Bake at 350 for about 15 minutes

Makes 6 dozen cookies
