Baking Powder Biscuits


2 cups sifted flour

4 teaspoons shortening

5 teaspoons baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup milk



Preheat oven to 450 degrees

Mix together flour, shortening, baking powder, salt and milk. Beat well

Roll out on a floured board and cut out with a small biscuit cutter

Bake for 11 minutes

Makes 12 biscuits.
