| Chocolate Pecan Pie 1 (15oz) pkg Pillsbury already pie crusts Filling1 cup light corn syrup1/2 cup sugar1/4 cup margarine or butter, melted1 tsp vanilla3 eggs1 (16oz) pkg (1 cup) semi sweet chocolate chips1-1/2 cups pecan halves Topping2 tbsp reserved semi sweet chocolate chips10 pecan halvesWhipped cream Prepare pie crust according to pkg directions for filled one crust pie using 9 inch pie pan (store remaining crust)Heat oven to 325F In large bowl, combine corn syrup, sugar, margarine, vanilla and eggs, beat wellReserve 2 tbsp chocolate chips for toppingStir in remaining chocolate chips and 1-1/2 cups pecansSpread evenly in pie crust lined panBake at 325F for 55 to 65 minutes or until deep golden brown and filling is setCover edge of pie crust with strip of foil after 15 to 20 minutes of baking to prevent excessive browningCool completelyLine cookie sheet with waxed paperMelt 2 tbsp reserved chocolate chips in small saucepan over low heatDip each of 10 pecan halves into chocolatePlace on waxed paper lined cookie sheetRefrigerate 15 to 20 minutes or until chocolate is setGarnish pie with whipped cream and chocolate dipped nutsRefrigerate10 servings | |
