Winter Cherry Berry Cobbler
With Snow Logs




1-1/3 cups sugar

1/2 cup all purpose flour

1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted

1/2 tsp grated orange rind

1/2 tsp almond extract

1 (15 oz) can pitted Bing Cherries undrained

1 (14 oz) bag frozen mixed berries, thawed and undrained

1 (15oz) pkg refrigerated piecrusts

1 tbsp sugar

Vanilla Ice Cream

Snow Logs



Sirt. Together first 5 ingredients in a large bowl. Gently stir cherries and berries into sugar mixture. Spoon fruit mixture into a lightly greased 11x7 inch baking dish



Cut 1 piecrust into 1/2 wide strips, and arrannge in a lattice design over fruit mixture Sprinkle top with 1 tbsp sugar



Bake 425 for 45 minutes or until crust is golden brown and center is bubby

Let stand 5 minutes. Serve with ice cream and Snow Logs



Snow Logs




1 refrigerated piecrust, cut into 1/2 inch thick strips

1 tbsp granulated sugar

Powdered sugar



Sprinkle piecrust strips with 1 tbsp granulated sugar, place on a lightly greased baking sheet. Bake at 425 for 6 to 8 minutes or until golden brown.

Sprinkle warm strips evenly with sifted powdered sugar.
