Peppermint-Eggnog Punch Bowl




1 pint soft pink Peppermint stick ice cream

2 cups dairy eggnog

1 bottle (1 pint 12 oz) club soda, chilled

Few drops red food color

1 cup heavy cream, whipped

16 red peppermint sticks

1/3 cup crushed peppermint sticks (optional)



Spoon ice cream into punch bowl

Add eggnog and club soda, mixing well

Stir in food color, to tint slightly pink

Spoon whipped cream over surface

Put peppermint stick stirrer in each punch cup

Top each serving with a little of the crushed peppermint sticks

Makes 16 (4oz) servings

Spicy EggNog




1/2 cup sugar

Dash allspice

1/4 tsp cinnamon

1/8 tsp nutmeg

3 eggs, separated

2 cups milk, chilled

1 cup light cream, chilled

Nutmeg



Combine sugar, allspice, cinnamon, and 1/8 tsp nutmeg

In large bowl of electric mixer, at high speed, beat egg whites until soft peaks form

Gradually beat in half of sugar mixture until stiff peaks form

In small bowl, beat egg yolks until lemon colored

Gradually beat in remaining sugar mixtrue until thick and smooth

Thoroughly fold into whites

Stir in milk and cream, mix well

Serve well chilled, each serving sprinkled with nutmeg

Makes 12 servings

Frosty Punch


2 cups of cold tea

a bunch of crushed mint leaves

The juice of 2 lemons and

2 oranges

1 level cup of granulated sugar

3 whole cloves

Let stand on the ice for several hours

When ready to serve strain and add 1 orange cut in bits

1 pint of white grape juice

a few bits of pineapple

and 1 quart of ginger ale

Pour into tall glasses half filled with cracked tea.

Grapefruit Shrub




2 cups grapefruit juice

1 cup orange juice

1/2 cup lemon juice

1/2 cup sugar, or to taste

2 tablespoons cider vinegar



In a stainless steel or enameled saucepan combine all of the ingredients except vinegar.

Bring to a simmer, stirring, and cook until sugar is dissolved.

Stir in vinegar

serve over ice with seltzer to taste

Makes 4 drinks

Gingerbread Creamer Mix



2C Powdered non-dairy creamer

1/2 C Brown Sugar, packed

1t. Cinnamon

1/2t Allspice

1/2t Ground Cloves

1/4t Ground Ginger

1/4t Nutmeg



Combine all ingredients in an airtight container. Mix well.

Seal tightly and attach instructions. Makes about 2 3/4 Cups



Pour on Heaping Tablespoonful of mix into a mug of Hot Coffee or Tea.

Stir to dissolve.

makes one serving.



Also makes a great Gift

Ginger Spiced Coffee



1 cup heavy cream

4 tsp grated orange rind

3 cups water

2 bay leaves

1/4 tsp ground ginger

3 tabsp brown sugar

2 tbsp instant coffee



In small bow, beat heavy cream until stiff

Fold in grated orange rind.

Chill in refrigerator until ready to use

In large saucepan,

Combine water, bay leaves and ginger

Bring to a boil

Simmer 5 minutes

Stir in brown sugar and instant coffee

Pour into heat proof mugsTop with whipped cream

Honey Egg-nog




4 to 6 egg yolks

4 tablespoons honey

4 cups milk

nutmeg



Beat yolks until lemon colored. Add honey and mix well

Add milk slowly fill glasses and add dash of nutmeg

Serve at once

Holiday Fruit Punch




1 (6oz) pkg or 2 (3oz) pkgs lime flavor gelatin

1-1/4 cup sugar

3-1/2 cups boiling water

2 (5-3/4 oz) cans frozen lemon juice concentrate, thawed

1 (46oz) can pineapple juice

6 cups cold water



Dissolve gelatin and sugar in boiling water

Stir in lemon juice, then pineapple juice and cold water

Pour over ice cubes in punch bowl

serve in punch cups

Makes about 4-1/2 quarts

Honey-Peanut Foam
(this is a fun drink)


1 tbsp honey

2 tbsp peanut butter

1 cup milk

2 tbsp dry milk



Combine ingredients and whip in drink mixer or blender until well blended and foamy

Pour over Frozen Milk Cubes (recipe below)

Makes 1 big (10oz) glass



To make 4 servings

Blend 1/4 cup honey

1/2 cup peanut butter in mixer

Slowly add 1 quart milk, continuing to beat,

scrape mixer bowl often

Add 1/2 cup dry milk and

(for adults) 1 tsp instant coffee

Whip until foamy

Pour over frozen Milk Cubes

Makes 4 (10oz) glasses



Frozen Milk CubesPour reconstituted dry milk into ice-cube tray and freeze

Jello Magic Milk Mixers



place 1 quart (4 cups) milk, 1 pkg (4 serving size) Jello gelatin, any flavor, and 1/2 cup vanilla ice cream in large pitcher.

Cover tightly with lid



Shake vigorously 1 minute or until well blended

Pour into 4 glasses

Serve immediately

Makes 4 servings

Jiffy Fruit Punch




1 (6oz) can frozen orange juice

1 (6oz) can frozen limeade

1 (6oz) can frozen lemonade

1 (46oz) can pineapple juice

1 pint cranberry juice cocktail

2 to 4 cup cold water

2 quarts ginger ale, chilled

1 quart plain soda water, chilled

Ice cubes



Empty frozen juices, pineapple and cranberry juice and water into large container or bowl

Thaw

Stir well

Pour mixture into punch bowl

Add ice cubes

Just before serving, gently pour in ginger ale and soda water

Top with sprigs of mint

Makes 30 servings

Mint for garnish

Mint Cocoa Cup


1 quart milk

3/4 c granulated sugar

6 tbsp hersheys cocoa

1 c boiling water

1/8 tsp mint extract

Whipped Cream



scald milk with sugar and cocoa

Add boiling water and beat

Cool

Add mint extract

Pour over crushed ice

Top with a spoonful of whipped cream and garnish with a spray of mint

Pet Milk Egg Nog




6 eggs

2/3 cup sugar

1/4 teaspoon salt

2 tall cans (13 fl. oz. each) Pet Evaporated Milk

2 cups heavy cream

4 tablespoons vanilla 2 to 3 tablespoons rum flavoring or 1/2 cup rum

Nutmeg or cinnamon



Beat eggs, sugar and salt in 3 quart mixing bowl.



Mix in evaporated milk, cream, vanilla and rum.



Chill. Pour into punch bowl.



Sprinkle with nutmeg or cinnamon



makes 2 quarts

Pink Peppermint Punch




2 tall cans (1-2/3 cups each) evaporated milk

2 tablespoons peppermint extract red food coloring

1 bottle (12 ounces) chilled ginger ale

2 pints vanilla ice cream



Combine evaporated milk, peppermint extract and red food coloring.

Chill well.

Just before serving stir in ginger ale and 2 scoops vanilla ice cream until ice cream is melted.

Place a scoop of ice cream in each punch cup and add peppermint punch to fill

Makes 18 one half cup servings

Peppermint Mocha Coffee



6 Cups freshly Coffee

4 Sq Bakers Semi-Sweet Chocolate

1 1/2 cups hot milk

1 tsp Peppermint Extract

8 Peppermint Sticks



Pour coffee into large saucepan.

Add Chocolate

Cook on low heat 5 min. or until chocolate is melted, Stirring occasionally



Add Milk and extract,

Stir until well blended

Garnish with a Peppermint Stick

Spiced Steamer


2 quarts milk

1 cup spiced syrup recipe below

1/8 tsp salt

Marshmallows or whipped cream



Heat milk in double boiler, covering to prevent skin from forming

Stir hot milk into syrup

Add salt

Serve hot in mugs, topped with marshmallows

Makes 8 servings

Its the color of Pink



Spiced Syrup



Mix in a saucepan

2 cups water

1/4 cup whole cloves

1/2 cup red cinnamon candies

1/2 cup sugar

Simmer 15 minutes

Stirring occasionally

Strain

Use 2 tbsp for a cup of milk

Santa's Christmas Eve Shake
(for that ride around the world)


2 tbsp fat-free chocolate syrup (gotta watch his weight)

2-1/8 tsp instant espresso granules, or instant coffee granules, divided

1-1/2 cups vanilla soy ice cream

1/2 cup low-fat plain soy milk



Combine syrup and 1/8 tsp espresso granules in a small bowl, stirring well

Using a spoon, drizzle half of syrup mixture around the inside rim of two small, narrow glasses.

Combine remaining 2 tsp espresso granules, ice cream, and soy milk in a blender

Process until smooth

Pour 1 cup ice cream mixture into each glass

Serve immediately

Serves 2 (1 for Mrs. Claus too)

Salty Dog Cocktail




2 bottles (12 oz each) carbonated lemon and lime drink

3 tbsp lemon juice

1/4 cup confectioners sugar

1 tbsp salt

3 cups grapefruit juice, chilled

2 tbsp superfine granulated sugar



Freeze 1 bottleful lemon and lime drink in ice cube tray, to make ice cubes

Refrigerate other bottle, to chill well



Frost 8 (6 oz size) glasses

Dip rim of each glass in lemon juice, then lightly in confectioners sugar combined with salt

Refrigerate glasses until ready to use



To serve

In large pitcher, combine the chilled bottle of lemon and lime drink with grapefruit juice, lemon and lime ice cubes, and granulated sugar

Stir to mix well

Makes 8 servings

Sunshine Brunch Punch




2 quarts Orange- Pineapple Juice

1-1 pint 12oz bottle ginger ale or lemon-lime carbonated beverage, chilled

1 pint lemon or pineapple sherbet



Combine juice and ginger ale in punch bowl.

Top with scoops of sherbet

Garnish with mint leaves, if desired

Tropical Refresher



Coffee

3 cups water

3 tbsp instant coffee

5 tbsp firmly packed brown sugar

1 tsp coconut extract



Coffee-Coconut Cream

2 tsp instant coffee

1 tbsp water

1/2 cup heavy cream

1 tbsp firmly packed brown sugar

1/4 sp coconut extract

Shredded coconut, toasted



Coffee:

In small saucepan, combine water, Instant coffee, brown sugar and coconut extract.

Heat until sugar dissolves.

Chill in refrigerator about 1 hour or until mixture is cold.

Pour into glasses.

Top with Coffee-Coconut Cream and Shredded Coconut



Coffee-Coconut Cream:

In small measuring cup, combine instant coffee, and water, mix well

In small bowl, combine heavy cream, coffee mixture, brown sugar and coconut extract.

Beat until stiff peaks form

Makes four 6-oz servings

Mixture may also be served hot.

Tangy Party Punch

1 (46-ounce) can Pineapple juice, chilled

1 (46-ounce) can Orange juice, chilled

1 (12-ounce) can Frozen Limeade concentrate, thawed

1 (12-ounce) can Frozen Lemonade concentrate, thawed

3 liters ginger ale, chilled

1 Pint orange sherbet

1 Pint lemon sherbet

1 Pint lime sherbet



In a large punch bowl, combine pineapple juice, ornage juice, limeade concentrate and lemonade concentrate.

Stir in ginger ale.

Add scoops of sherbet. Serve immediately.

Makes 8 quarts

3 measuring tbsp Sweet Orange Marmalade

2 measuring tbsp Instant Coffee

1 teaspoon Vanilla extract

2 eggs



In blender container, combine boiling water, heavy cream, marmalade, instant coffee and vanilla extract.

Process at high speed until smooth

Add eggs

Process again until foamy

Pour into 4 small mugs or glasses

Makes 4 4-oz servings

Wassail Bown Brew



makes 2 dozen cups



1 cup water

pinch of nutmeg

pinch of mace

3 cloves

1/2 teaspoon powdered allspice

1 teaspoon powdered ginger

1 stick cinnamon, about 2 inches long

4 bottles of wine

1 dozen eggs, separated

1 dozen apples, baked in the oven.



Boil water while adding spices.

Remove from heat and boil again.

Place wine in a large pan over low heat, and add spiced water.

Beat the yolks and whites separately, then mix them together.

Place this mixture in the punch bowl,

And pour in the heated wine, beating constatntly.

Don't pour in the hot wine too soon or the frothy consistency will be lost.

Add the hot apples, and "Wassail" to you all.

Yultide Punch Bowl


1 lb cranberries

4 cups water

2 cups sugar

1 pkg frozen strawberries

1/2 cup lemon juice

4 quarts ginger ale or

Water Ice cubes or crushed ice

3 small fresh limes sliced thin



Cook cranberries with water in a covered saucepan about 10 minutes, or until skins pop

Put through a sieve or food mill and discard skin

Add sugar, and cook about 1 minute to dissolve sugar

Let stand until cold

Combine all ingredients in a punch bowl

Add ice cubes or crushed ice a few minutes before serving

Float lime slices on top

Sangria Punch




1 tub crystal light raspberry Ice Flavor Low Calorie Soft Drink Mix



1 quart (4 cups) cold reduced calorie cranberry juice cocktail

1 cup cold orange juice

1 tbsp fresh lime juice

3 cups cold club soda

2 medium oranges, sliced

2 medium limes, sliced



Empty drink mix into large pitcher

Add cranberry juice cocktail, orange juice and lime juice

Stir until drink mix is completely dissolved



Refrigerate until ready to serve

Stir in club soda and fruit

Serve over ice cubes in tall glasses



Makes 8 servings 1 cup each
