3/4 cup shortening

2 cups brown sugar

2 eggs

1/4 cup coffee (liquid)

1 teaspoon baking soda

3 cups sifted flour

1 cup raisins

1 cup chopped walnuts

1 teaspoon vanilla



Mix all ingredients in 1 bowl, stirring in raisins and walnuts last

Spread mixture on greased cookie sheet

Bake at 350 for 25 to 30 minutes

Cut into squares
