| Gingersnap-Raisin Sauce For Baked Ham 6 small gingersnaps (1/3 cup crumbled)1/2 cup brown sugar solidly packed1/4 cup white vinegar1 cup hot water1/4 tsp salt1 very small lemon or 1/2 large lemon or 1 very small orange cut into lengthwise pieces, then sliced crosswise into very thin slices1/4 cup seedless raisins Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and bring to boiling pointLower heat and let simmer about 10 minutesOr until thick and transparentFor additional flavor 1 or 2 tbsp curacao may be added to this sauce | |
